More moo cards
It’s been quiet on this blog. I have been busy and have not had a lot of time to create much else besides the daily creation, and it felt weird to keep reblogging my work on that blog here. (in case you didn’t know; I’m posting something every day to my other tumblr blog, anythingaday.tumblr.com, so if you want to keep up with my daily work be sure to follow that blog)
Last week I ordered more post cards from Paper drawings I made at MOO (this referral link to MOO will give you a 10% discount if you weren’t a customer yet). I’ve been thinking about selling some prints/ cards over at etsy, but haven’t really decided yet. Decisions, decisions..!
#134 architectural photography
So, this is my commercial work. I kind of underestimate this stuff every time.. I had to photograph a building (interior, exterior) for 4 different clients, they asked for about 20 photos. I took one 5 minute break at 4pm and worked for 8,5 hours straight which is quite physical and exhausting, especially with my current sleep deprivation and the insane traffic (2hr drive there, 1,5hr drive back)
You get where this is going, don’t you? I am allowing myself to post these snapshots from my camera screen because I really don’t feel up to anything else anymore. (And I need to remember this for the next time I take on a project like this, I need to bring more food, for example!)
Kudos to my new intern. She started this week, she did not have a lot of time to ease into this and she had to travel about 2hrs more than I did.
#92 zombies
George does not like the scary movies we’re watching during the holidays. Not at all.
#91 dr where?
George would like to travel in time and space as well, but he can’t climb ladders.
(in case you’re feeling clueless, see the last dr who christmas episode)
#86 on fire
George is fine. My reputation however…?
I managed to burn my hair on an oil lamp at the bar, just after I arrived at a networking event. Shock and embarrassment, and my hair smelled awful all night. I think I did make an impression. Not sure if it was the right one. :)My hair is pretty much ok, so far I haven’t been able to really notice a difference in length.. and I’m glad it didn’t all catch on fire. I used hair spray yesterday so I think I was pretty lucky!
This one time, I’m posting a photo on my falleri blog. I still have different followers on each blog, so if I’m not posting it here you might not see it :)
#85 merry christmas & happy newyear
Yes, technically I made the photo in this photo a little while back. I have sent out the physical cards a few days ago, today I spent (a tad too much) time on making the digital version (why can’t we ever be satisfied with the stuff we make?)
I decided to go with this handwritten and photographed version for my blog and emails (there were many versions before this one, of course) because it felt more personal and right than a ‘photoshopped’ text (well, pixelmatored, technically, but I think no one understands that) on the photo. It is in Dutch, and kind of translates to ‘happy holidays & happy 2013!’
So, to make a long story
shorta bit longer;I wish all of you a merry christmas, a happy newyear in good health and with many good things to come + lots of inspiration to keep creating!

#79 don’t
I am a bit of a thriller/ horror movie fan. One of my all time favourites is The Shining. (Kubrick version) Classic. It’s getting harder and harder to explain to people nowadays why, as they’re used to fast-paced stuff and blood and gore within 5 minutes and don’t really get the kind of terror in this movie anymore, but well.
It’s one of my best friends his birthday today, and we’ve been watching horror movies together since elementary school (no kidding). (happy birthday, JP!)Somehow, ever since Psycho I suppose, the shower scene is one of those scenes that’s bound to make you think, oh come on, don’t look behind that curtain/ don’t take that shower! Or, at least lock your door.
I was just watching something with a shower scene again which prompted this drawing.
Anyway. It’s kind of nice, too, I guess. One of those things in life you can always count on. Predictable shower scenes. Where would we, the audience, be without them?
